the helicopter parents here are insane

I heard about it before I got here, but nothing could have prepared me for it. It is INSANITY. I came to college wanting to get away from my parents and establish independence. How can I do that when the lady down the hall is SCREAMING at another girl (not her own daughter) because the lady feels her daughter wasn't treated fairly during recruitment. Do any of these mothers have jobs? I can't take four years of this.

Maybe I live in a bubble but it is hard to believe this post is true. Highly involved moms I could believe but screaming moms...that I have never seen at TCU. If it's true then they need to move on over to junior college.

Who cares? We all have helicopter parents here. Most of us would have never finished high school without them.
