How many girls on average don't receive a bid at the end of it all?

If you maximize all your bids, have a open mind about all the houses and are respectful you will get a bid. I heard some girls didn't last year but they must have committed suicide not listing every option or show disrespect during the process.

There were and girls that did all this and still had no bids last year. Not many but if its you that's all that matters.

Last year I think about 200 girls dropped or didn't receive a bid and the year before that it was about 225. I don't know how many of those specifically did not receive a bid. It's also important to be aware that some girls do not get invited back to any house during the week. It's scary but a reality.

Dropping out is NOT not receiving a bid! It's quitting because you think you're too good for the sororities you have left.

The truth is that very few PNMs go bidless, that is get dropped completely by the system before preference round. Maybe less than ten?

The ones that usually claim they were "dropped" all had invites left, but they chose not to maximize their options because they thought they were too good for those houses.

Keep an open mind. Be nice to everyone you meet. Go to all your parties and maximize your options. Do these things and there's almost 100% guarantee you will receive a bid. (It might not be to your first choice or "top" house, but you will not be the dreaded "bidless." That really doesn't happen much.)

"Wrong" is right. Any house is what you make of it. You would hope every girl feels her house is "top". It's like anything else in life--you don't know anything about our houses until you've lived here. You might get the house you wanted and hate it because you were your authentic self during recruitment. You might doubt you want to settle for a sorority you think you don't want and meet your maid of honor and create positive change which moves that house up the row.

Like these people are saying dropping is totally different than receiving NO bid. There were some girls with no bids on Bid Day but they didn't list all their choices and it backfired.

Pretty much if you come through recruitment with not even one bid you did something wrong.

Unless you do something really bad or disqualify yourself by not writing all the houses down you will be fine. It is a anxiety provoking week but people need to calm down and have faith things will work out.

Is that information true for larger girls?

Larger girls will have a harder time. It isn't nice but it's true. You do find larger girls in every house though so do not count yourself out.

If you put yourself together well, got your application and REC letters in, are polite and hold good conversations you will not have to worry about not getting a bid. Be your best self and calm down!!

It is RARE for a girl with a good résumé, who got all her paperwork/ REC letters...in on time, who is dressed appropriately and respectful not to get a bid. In fact, if you do this and maximize your invites its almost impossible for you to have no bid.

It is sad that a crazy troll keeps going on about weight on this site. I guess they want to stop any bigger girl from even trying. The truth is that every house has girls of different weights in them. Some may be more interested in your outward appearance but they have a mix of girls too. If you got all your information in and have a engaging personality you will get a bid. That is the truth of the matter.
