questions about nails
by: nervousYes. I know it is a first world problem if I'm asking about nail color, but I'm really nervous. Where I live, it is very chic and envouge to wear no nail polish at all, have very clean, short/squared off nails. Most people don't even put clear nail polish on because they don't want to yellow their nails or get chemicals on them. I'm hearing that in Texas, it is unheard of to go with out nail polish. Is this true? I don't really want to put nail polish on, but I don't want to look sloppy either. Any kind of advice would be helpful. Thank you so much.

It's ok to be nervous! For nails, I think polish is expected and if I noticed you without it on pref round I might be surprised. BUT if your nails are clean I don't think its that big of a deal. I don't remember seeing anyone without nail polish but it isn't something I look for. Since it is only a week, it might be best to get your nails done and it could fun for you to go to a nail salon with your roommate or some girls in your group to get them done and then you can take it off after pref. Your nails shouldn't yellow after a few days. Someone else might have a better answer.

Venetian Nail Salon (Hulen St.) is really good, the shop by iHop is ok if you don't have a car and need to walk/take the bus
do NOT go to the nail salon across from grand marc. it's unsanitary. get french or a neutral color as suggested above. don't worry your nails will not turn yellow :)

Perfect information/Definitely get your nails done with a neutral gel for recruitment even if you don't keep them polished always.
