should i just skip rush/recruitment?

Okay, so I'm looking for the honest truth. I'm a bigger girl. I'm hearing from everyone that I will only get into one of two sororities. I'm fine with that as that I have heard really good things about these two sororities. I also heard those two sororities do continue recruitment after formal recruitment and I could join then. I really don't want to deal with rush if everyone really is going to drop me based on my size (hey, I was born this way). So if you were me, would you just skip the formal thing and go to the unofficial recruitment afterwards?

Please do not be as discouraged as these answers may make you. Recruitment does take physical appearance into consideration but it isn't everything a house wants. Good luck to you making this difficult decision.

Go through recruitment. There are some body bullies at this school, but most sorority women are above that insecure behavior. Wish you luck.

EVERY sorority has their fair share of larger girls. Just look on their websites at their group photos. The only exception to this is Zeta. They will make cuts based on looks. Go in with a great attitude and keep your head high :)
