resumes
by: pnmHi everyone! I'm going to be a freshman next year and I was wondering how much emphasis do sororities place on extracurricular activities? I have a high GPA and did a lot of volunteer work but I wasn't super involved at my school since I worked two jobs. Will this hurt me during rush? Thanks!!

Each chapter is different in regard to what they are looking for. Having a strong extracurricular résumé is certainly helpful but a strong GPA is a must for our top academic houses. You're rec letters and personality will play a strong part to. Do give recruitment a try and be open minded to the groups that ask you back. It may be a little harder for you but not impossible.

Each house looks for different things. I like this persons advice. Strong grades and volunteer work will be appealing to some chapters. Be prepared to talk up your strong attributes.
