How many girls are expected to rush in the fall? What is your best advise on how to make a positive impression when you are among so many girls?

Around 1000 girls. Be open to every house and person, be genuine and never be rude.

yep 1000. And be sure to smile. You'd be surprised how many forget to cause they're tired but a frown stands out.

Great tip. Plus bring slip on sandles to rest your feet during breaks. You will thank me for that tip!

If you know a little about a houses style, philanthropy, symbols...it is noticed. Academic houses are KAT, XO and GPBeta, Party houses are ZTA, DG,KKG and PBP, Southern is DDD, more laid back are AXO, ADPi, SK and AOPi...but above all be friendly to everyone. All our houses are above those on most campuses so be grateful for your welcome. Being sincerely kind resonates no matter the situation. Remember the girls in the houses have a sisterhood and you need one.

Be yourself so people can get to know the real you. Conversations are short but smiles speak volumes. Don't try to pretend to be someone you aren't to try to fit in. You want to end up in a house where you are comfortable.

^^^yes! We don't have any bad houses so trust yourself and the process. Don't fixate on letters but focus on the new friendships that await you.

Be nice to everyone in every house! If you are rude to some houses because you think you are better than they are, everyone will hear about it and you will find yourself not getting invited back to houses you want. You aren't better than any house at TCU and it is an honor to get a bid anywhere.

Simple facts that some stuck in a high school mentality forget. It will not serve you well here!

Yes, we expect 1000 girls from across the country to be competing for slots in our houses this year. You don't become a TCU student unless you are top rate. There will be hundreds that have the same sccimishments as you. Distinguish yourself by being the nicest girl you can be. High grades, student council, cheerleader, sports star...we will have to many to count. Beautiful girls...we are in the top 20 for attractive student body according to News Week...nice stands out!

It is hard to make a real connection during such a hectic and unnatural time. Your application information, photos and REC letters help set the stage. Other than the best thing you can do is be friendly back to every person in every house. The conversations can be trivial. It's more about how you interact than the substance in a sense. Every TCU house deserves your respect and if you cannot offer that who would want you as a member. Kindness always matters.

If you don't connect with a girl that doesn't mean you won't with the next. Be authentic and have something interesting to say. Above all show your smile and be personable whether you think a house is your fit or not. You never can know where date will land you.
