Rushing as a sophomore

I’m rushing as a sophomore, and I’m hearing that it’s much harder to get a bid if you are not a freshman. Is that true?

For girls there is a separate quota, so you are not competing against the freshman. Just other sophomores and jr transfers

For guys top frats only take like 3-5 sophomores, so that can be tough unless you have friends
