How do PNMs prepare for our house visits? What types of things do people talk about and any topics that are off limits that aren't obvious?

People will not have time to get to know you well so lots of basic questions. Also, the houses will be LOUD because many groups are interviewing people at the same time in the same common area. So, SMILE and give off a positive vibe. If you have something interesting about yourself you can throw in that might help you stand out in 1000 girls, that is good. Let each person know your appreciate their interest in you...be your authentic self and be polite and all will go as it should.

This is the best way to handle your conversations. They get longer the more days you come back and then you can make things more personal.

Also, if you got your recommendations sent in then the sororities will usually try to pair you up with someone you have something in common with if they can. Like if you are a tennis player, you might get to talk to a sister who is also a tennis player or might get paired with someone from your hometown.

Just be ready to talk about where you're from, the things you like to do, why you want to be in a sorority, why you chose TCU, where you're living and those kinds of things. Just natural conversations.

This seems intimidating! How can a group get to know us in this type of situation? At least we can try to follow these tips.
