rush

Question for the sorority sisters- What are advantages of such an early rush? I really like TCU but the other school I'm interested in does sorority rush later which makes more sense to me.

you get placed in a group and have immediate friends and most come to love their sorority! however, it really is such a quick week process and hard to judge where you truly "belong"

Sometimes I question if its an advantage because you are placed before you can be known. Nevertheless that is how its always been and you get connected to new friends from the start.

Not a real advantage because people judge and place you before they can know you but that's how things roll here and it won't change.

I wish they wouldn't do it so fast. There is NO way they know you or you can know where you will fit. It is such a big production and tons of work for the houses so they couldn't do it during school. That's the only advantage I can see.

Not waiting an entire semester to find your new home and sisters!! The greek community will plug you in immediately.

It is a mixed deal. You get placed right off so you know people immediately. You get placed right off so you are placed before your known other than how you look on paper and short conversations. People can't know you yet.

The recruitment process is very emotional and all consuming. Early rush lets you finish the process before the worry with grades. You bond quickly because all the girls are in the same situation.
