Any of the 3 would be nice but DZ has a great philanthropy and I love their colors.

DZ and Alpha Phi are not strong nationally.

Where have you been? Alpha Phi is VERY strong nationally and a top house virtually everywhere but the south. Even then, they do well- strong mid tier at places they aren’t top. As some of your northern or west coast friends- they’ll confirm.

same with adpi and phi mu. it’s sad that tcu isn’t above ranking for money and modeling. why not sisterhood? philanthropy? like tf

Sarah, the only category AOII where AOII is largest in the country is in their number of chapter colonizations/recolonizations during the past decade. It remains to be seen whether each of their numerous chapters survives/thrives, and whether AOII overextended itself and can't properly manage such a suddenly large number of chapters at one time.

Both KD and Alpha Phi closed at TCU, even though they are strong like AOII nationally because schools like TCU are very closed-minded and tight-knit about welcoming any new group. I can't imagine anyone would want to colonize at TCU. AOII and KD want to have strong chapters everywhere. They will work hard to make them very good or they will move on. Neither will be anyone's stepping stone. The OP above clearly is not involved in Greek life in the last decade. AOII wants to continue to lead the way in largest number of chapters, and they have gone through a national rebranding with strong national support creating exponential growth especially in the South, East, and Midwest. KD has an emphasis on wanting to continue to grow in the South, and Alpha Phi is pushing to become more of a "Southern" sorority, but they are still seen as a West Coast sorority.

@TCU Greeks have YOU been involved in greek life in the last decade?
there was never an aphi chapter at tcu.
kd was one of the founding sororities at tcu in the 50s but closed their chapter in the 70/80s i think?
other chapters like alpha chi, sk, phi mu & gphi have come on campus in the last 2-3 decades and established themselves in the greek community. imho aoii isn’t that strong nationally and not many tcu students are aoii legacies. i think aphi would do well here since so many california students are aphi legacies.

There was most certainly an Alpha Phi chapter at TCU in the 70s and 80s.

KD chapter closed during the ‘92-‘93 school year. They had 9 girls. I don’t see KD trying to recolonize at TCU again.

Alpha Phi colonized at Baylor 2 years ago and is already making a name for themselves. The way they started the chapter was extremely impressive. They picked a great group of girls from the start. They had a very successful recruitment in January.

It’s all about to change everywhere. Nationals for most sororities are trying to change with the times to increase diversity and inclusivity for all.

Say you know nothing about southern greek life without saying you know nothing about southern greek life. They aren't #1 in the south, but they are solid middle in almost every southern school they've been in for a few years
