really only for the 1st round and if you make to pref round at that house. other than that it's fair game

It will guarantee an invite back to the second round. It depends on the chapter how much more it will do for you. The above answers are true that if you make it to the final round many houses try to keep legacies. Do try to go into recruitment being open to all houses because you want to join a house where you are most happy. It may be where your legacy is but only you will know. Good luck!!

It really varies. The only ones I know of is theta not caring at all about legacies but Axo will pretty much automatically accept you and recruit you hard.

It does depend on the chapter how big of a help it is but it does bring back for a second visit in hall houses which lets you get to know the girls better.

Being a legacy certainly gives an advantage but no guarantee. You get invited to the second day for sure. After that it is usually considered when Bid Day comes. Do be open minded about all houses though because things certainly have changed with houses in the last 5 years and you want to join a house you will fit best with.

First, whatever you are a legacy to may not be the best fit for you. Houses change every year so give yourselve an unbiased visit to each chapter to start. The legacy status will give you a second visit for sure. Every house and every year the legacy's importance varies. If you end up in your legacy house that is great but if not then make a new legacy for your daughter. You will end up where you fit best.

A legacy is an advantage for that house but it does give you an automatic bid. You will at minimum one extra invitation back to that house to meet the girls. If the girls like you being a legacy gives you a leg up when people have to be cut. However, houses change so much you should enter each house like a blank slate and see what house you bond best with. If its your legacy house that's great but if not then start a new tradition for your daughter.

Honest advise. Even if you are a legacy that doesn't mean that house will be your best for now so be kind to everyone you meet and create your own path legacy or not.

A legacy lets you meet the girls at least one extra time and can make the difference between choosing a legacy versus non in a close situation. As stated before its no guarantee but it can't hurt.

It helps A LOT depending on the house. Some houses have so many legacies that they could fill an entire Pledge Class with just legacies. In those houses they pull less weight.

I agree with Purple Toad ^^^. It is hard to be a first generation greek here. It's not impossible but you have a up hill battle in most houses.
