smu or tcu college chiice

SMU is higher ranked overall but go with the one who gives you more money, especially if you plan to stay in Texas.

SMU is more academically focused and has a better reputation among employers, Tcu is known for its college experience, athletics.

Look into your major at each school and compare what both of them offer

SMU has intense money. The (majority of) kids there are very forward and outward with their money, and the party scene and their greek life is very very extreme. their athletics also aren’t really any good. Sure it obviously has great academics, but when I was deciding between SMU and TCU i realized not only did I want great college athletics plus a great degree, but I found the people at TCU to be way more down to earth. Obviously i’m a little biased, but I think TCU is honestly a healthier environment to put yourself in.

I was offered the same scholarship at SMU and TCU so I really don’t know how SMU can be ranked higher academically.
Upon the accepted students tour of SMU I realized that it wasn’t a good fit for me. It seemed a little pretentious and seemed to be resting on its reputation. I actually blew off the 2nd day of SMU and went to TCU. The difference was night and day. I loved the down to earth feel of TCU, the people, everything!
I am from out of state and I went to an exclusive high school and SMU seemed more of the same. If you really want elite you probably should head to the east coast.

I’m so confused or should I just go to Baylor????
