why are girls doing this? Is it that serious?
"mom calls FSL office, lets us know her daughter will be dropping out of recruitment and TCU and will be getting picked up in her private jet" - someone who works in the FSL office

I don't know about this situation but Ole Miss changed their recruitment because of this kind of thing. Girls would drop out of school if they didn't get what they wanted in rush. Now Ole Miss holds recruitment a couple of weeks into the semester so that girls can't drop out of school if it doesn't go their way.

Yes I agree that is a little to far. As a mom who just got a call from my daughter who didn't get a bid it's devastating. She is living through all these girls just getting back to the dorm all excited and she does not want to he the Debbie downer. She's a better person than her mom because I just want to scream. My heart has never hurt so much. I'm not saying getting into a sorority is the most important thing in the world. It's just hard to hear her sad and feeling rejected. Not a great way to start a college life. Wish things could be better and just need lots of prayers to get through this not a private jet.

Hey, I'm sorry. But TCU has a guaranteed bid process. That means if you maximize your options and play by the rules you are guaranteed a bid. The only way you can not receive a bid is if you didn't put down as many as you could when you lifted your prefs. You may not get a bid from a group you like but you will get a bid of you do as you are told.
