sorority pnm acceptance rates
by: rush dropoutWhy do chapters have to limit the amount of girls accepted? Can there only be so many girls within one sorority or is it a personal choice to be extremely selective?
#2by: Recruitment
Recruitment is set up the way it is for two reasons: 1) to ensure equity among the house membership numbers to keep a thriving sorority community; and 2) to allow as many pnm's as possible the chance of being offered a bid. There are no pre-set new member quotas or house membership totals. Quota is the same for every house, is only set at the very end of recruitment, is based on how many pnm's sign cards after pref, and every pnm who goes all the way to pref is guaranteed a bid if puts every house she prefs on her card. Meanwhile, in the earlier rounds, each house is given the number of pnm's they are allowed to have back from round to round. This prevents pnm's from being invited back to houses where they don't really have a chance (like it used to be) and allows them to focus on houses where they are wanted. Far more pnm's get bids under this system and every chapter's membership enjoys a great sorority experience.
