competitive sorority recruitment
by: ??Just wondering how intense/competitive rush is here versus big Southern state schools? like how difficult is it to get a top house & do you need connections with the girls in those houses to get a bid? + how important r recs

If you’re talking about schools like Bama or Georgia, ours definitely doesn’t compare when it comes down to numbers of PNMs (girls going thru rush) or how many chapters on campus. Personally I think TCU rush is pretty competitive BUT only during rush week itself. No, you don’t need connections to get into good houses, and recommendation letters, while good to have, aren’t the end of the world if you don’t have one for every house. I didn’t even have a rec for my second-choice house on pref night and I did fine without it!
Rush week is where it gets competitive. If you aren’t on your A-game and putting all your effort into it, you might not end up with a house that might be right for you. It’s only one week out of your life! So put in as much effort as you can for as long as you can and you’ll (hopefully) never have to do it again!
