Girls do it, but it kind of depends. If you are making friends with girls in sororities that helps, and the pool for upperclassmen is a lot smaller, but it's not guaranteed you will get a bid or to a place you want. GPA can also be a big factor! If you are worried about people thinking less of you for doing recruitment again, that is not the case. Many go through recruitment a second time if they dropped out, did not receive a bid, or received a bid and felt they did not fit and dropped before initiation. I would also advise talking to your friends and seeing if the sorority they are in will be doing spring recruitment. Some need to because of December graduates and these are still good sororities. I think last year there were 5 chapters that did spring recruitment and most of these are girls who are friends with those in the chapter.

A lot of girls rush as sophomores! A lot prefer it as they know girls in houses and have an idea of what house they want. My friends who rushed as freshmen and sophomores said sophomore rush is a lot less stressful. Spring rush is also an option.
