can't go through rush next year
by: future frogI'm probably headed to TCU next year. Due to my acute anxiety and sensory issues, I probably won't be able to go through the regular rush process. I keep hearing I can go through something more casual afterwards. I know I can't choose all the sororities, and I'm fine with that. I just want to know how the system works. Can someone explain how that works?

So not going through the recruitment process is totally fine! Honestly there are lots of great sororities that do continuous open bidding and they are generally the chiller ones. Make friends with girls in sororities and let them know you are interested. Also early in the school year contact Fraternity and Sorority Life and you can potentially get on their mailing list about this. The actual process varies from sorority to sorority but usually there are small group events if there are several spots open and you can meet many girls in the chapter. If there are only a few bids to give, you might meet with a member with a position. They would extend the bid and you can choose to accept. Just so you know this could be in the fall or spring!
