recruitment week
by: ...
Girls drop out of recruitment week every year because they have decided before it even starts what house they want. When they get dropped, they feel like they can't go on. They think maybe next year they can get either that house or another "top" house. BUT, if you're dropped as a freshman (freshmen get about 99% of the bids), why do you think a house will want you as a sophomore? They won't. Really. You have almost no chance your sophomore year.
My suggestion is to look everyday at the houses you have left. They are the ones that want you. Choose the ones you like best from those and forget the ones who rejected you.
The real truth is that in the greek community, no one looks down on any sorority. They do feel bad for independents as ones who couldn't or wouldn't fit into greek life. So choose the sorority that you like best from the ones who like you the best.
Please don't drop out. Give sisterhood a chance!

Good advice! TCU has great students and likewise great sororities with talented greek women in each one. Give each group a chance. You are going to miss out on meeting some great girls if you drop out.
Think about what you can contribute to the group and stick with it.

Lots of great information here. Our Greek community is exceptional and you would be making a huge mistake to not take part you believe you belong in a certain house. Honestly if they don't want you why would let them dictate your future. Going Greek is the best way to get involved and meet people you would never meet otherwise. Give sisterhood a chance with a house that wants you.

You aren't in Junior High anymore ladies. If a house you think you want doesn't feel the same then move on to one who does. Why do that to yourself and insult those that invite you back. Trust the process and have faith that the girls inside the houses know where you will click.

It would be a real shame to miss out on the friendships that are waiting for you because of a group that didn't offer it to you. If they didn't want to pledge you as a freshman your chances are not better as a Sophmore unless you make it your mission to meet a group in the house to back you up...why would anyone choose that over people you valued you too start???
