Good advise on this post

TCU has become about 50/50 on in state and out of state girls. You will be fine! If a house is that closed minded they won't be real sisters anyway. The earlier posts set you on a good course of strong houses that welcome Northern girls. Focus your time on these. They are some of the best houses anyway.

Agree with last post. Post 2 is also on target

50 percent of TCU students are out of state now. While lots are from the west coast there still are a number of girls from the North. Keep the houses listed on post 2 in mind. There is good advise there.

If a house counts your state against you they are too small minded to be good sisters anyway. Theta, Gamma Phi and Chi O may have the highest number of girls from the north and Tri-Delt and Kappa the least. Set your sights where you will be welcome and remember there are always exceptions.

With almost half TCU students now being from out of state your home state won't keep you out of a good house. DDD, KKG are big on Texas girls but honestly no loss there. Theta and G Phi seem to have more Northern girls while DG and Pi Phi go West Coast. Just be yourself and you will find strong sisters who respect you for you. Good luck and try to enjoy rush even though it can be stressful.

I found that DDD and Kappa are not as welcoming to Northern girls when I went through recruitment. I found my home in one of the three listed as friendly to the North. We have an amazingly close house and are a strong chapter. There are superior houses for Northern girls at TCU so don't worry. You will find a great home here.

if you are outside of texas don't bother with tridelt and chiO...they already have their top list and most from Texas matter of fact a majority are dfw, austin and houston ---past those cities a very few are on the list.... Alumni pick their lists...the chapters problem is that these sororities have lost their appeal the past few years so lots of girls aren't picking them... one reason these two chapters never make their quota on bid day. There are so many better options so
look to other sororities!

Great advise on prior post. Agree that these chapters have lost their appeal on campus. Tri Delt, Chi O and Kappa are all obsessed with Texas girls. There are other great options though: Theta, Gamma Phi if you are looking for well respected, academic houses and Zeta if you are looking to a strong party house with great girls. TCU is 50% out of state so you WILL be welcome at the right houses. Those are the only ones that matter anyway.
