which houses value recs?

Stand out by being real. It's hard to do when you are hot and stressed but you want to end up with girls who will care about you on a real level. Let them meet the real you.

okay, addressing the chio issue- whether or not some girls had a bad experience with Chi O does NOT mean that it isnt the perfect house for some girls! So dont rule them about just because you heard these things. Chances are if youre on this site you will read negative things about every house anyways, and so try your hardest to go into each and every house with an open mind.

For me, I am not a "typical sorority girl" and made the mistake of trying to make myself be one the first day of recruitment, so I come off as looking awkward to some girls I talked to, I'm sure. Being yourself is the best way you can stand out because that's truly what the girls are looking for- who you are. and don't be afraid to tell houses about your accomplishments. its not bragging if youre not snooty about it, and that will definitely make you stand out.

Also, a super random tip- the first few days of recruitment are going to be EXHAUSTING! Sometimes PNMs will look very tired by the end of the day and this can come off as them not being interested/rude to some houses and they will get cut. So endure the entire day and the heat and treat every house respectfully!

The best way to be invited back is to have enthusiasm for every house! Put other people's thoughts about a house out of your mind. How do you really feel around the girls? Ask questions about the group. It helps you appear interested and learn more about what the house values in their members. It is a stressful and tiring week but be excited about any house that invites you back. With around 1000 girls going through rush, they chose you!! Good luck!!

Love the post right before this. The houses that are above board want to meet the real you and will choose to invite back girls that they see as having potential to click with. Even though you are hot and stressed be friendly and respectful and try to get to know the girls. The houses who choose you on a legacy or $$ won't have your back once your in the house anyway. Real sisters is what going greek is about.

I went to chi o every day of rush including pref and i'm not a legacy or from texas. I have plenty of close friends in that house from being in one of "the 3" that hang out together and I have to stand up for these girls like I know they would for my house as well. Go into rush open minded and let it work itself out, you wind up where you are supposed to be and you'll love it no matter what!
