rush
by: TCUfreshmangirlThere's a lot of posts on here about comparing the sororities... But i'd really love to know more about rush. Past experiences, advice, what to wear, or anything else you'd want to share about it for an incoming freshman. thanks!

First bit of advise is don't think you know where you belong. You only know a name or rumors. Come in to every house with no preconceived ideas. The house will be packed, loud and hot. The conversations will be surface but get deeper as the day move forward. Be respectful to everyone and be true to yourself. If you are plastic people notice. If you have a bad attitude people notice. It's a crazy experience and you will likely change your mind about houses after you visit them. Try to enjoy this once in a lifetime crazy ride.

Stay with the process and accept your bid even if it's to a house where you're sure you can't possibly belong. There is nothing better than being Greek at TCU and every sisterhood has something to offer. Ignore what others might say. Don't let anyone else form your opinions or make you feel bad about yourself. I promise you being Greek is going to be the best decision you ever make here, no matter what house you end up in!

The most important thing is to put your best forward by being your genuine self. Do not be impolite to anyone in any house. The houses are hot, loud and crazy with everyone clapping and talking at once. Smile and keep your energy up by staying hydrated and eating between houses. Lots of girls bring hand held fans, flats, a small mirror and brush for touch ups. If you have a fun fact to share about yourself that's a plus. Every house has every kind of girl so if you don't click don't fret about it. Finally, like everyone says, you cannot know what a house is like from looking on here. Go with your heart.
