Nursing is one of our most demanding and respected majors. It's also a huge program which is why they are expanding the building. Every group has nursing majors. I agree with others though that you will be happier if you stick with an academically inclined chapter so you will have more like minded sisters. I know Gamma Phi, Theta and Chi O girls that are in nursing and they are ALL great girls. Honestly, I'm not sure how they do it all.

As a current nursing major in clinical's I promise their are girls from every sorority in my classes. My chapter is one that has a stronger emphasis on grades and I do think it is an advantage for me personally but their are girls from our hardest party groups that are doing great. One of the best things I can tell you is once you get up into clinical's you bond with everyone. The house letters become less important than the shared hospital experience.

I am a current nursing major doing my clinicals. I cannot think of a house that is not represented in my classes. All the girls that make it this far are intelligent and motivated. It is crazy how much harder we work than some majors. Anyway, once you get this far you bind with everybody and your letters don't matter as much. If you are up for the challenge your house is irrelevant because making the grades is a personal responsibility.

I am a current upperclassmen doing my clinical work. The truth is almost every house has nursing majors. If you are determined to work hard you can do it. Even cooler is the fact that your house letters matter less when you all put on your purple scrubs. With 12-10 hours shifts in the hospital you enter the real world again and bond with your the other nursing majors. It cuts in to your social time but it is such a rewarding major. Highly recommend it no matter your house. .
