Dear WTF, nobody is trying to make the Fuzzies look bad. People are rightly speaking out against a hate group that wants to eradicate people for being who they are. The Fuzzies made themselves look bad by affiliating with them.

I can tell you that I have never met one family that actually got any money or resprit support from Autism Speaks. They books are shotty when it comes to being accountable for where all their money goes.

DZ is pretty good nationally. In my hometown here in Texas they have a huge alumni group. I think they would be a middle sorority here at TCU. They would never be top, but I don't think they would be bottom.

DZ has one of the worst national reputations in the country. So does alpha Phi, but for very different reasons. Doesn't matter though because tcu is not open for expansion. AOPi and Phi Mu are having enough trouble!

So you obviously didn't google what autism speaks has been doing the past decade or so. I personally don't have anything against AXID besides their philanthropy. My aunt is an AXID and they had a different philanthropy back in the 80s. Even she has thought about turning in her pin because she doesn't like being affiliated with autism speaks. I hope AXID will drop autism speaks and then come on campus at TCU. It doesn't seem appropriate for a sorority to be affiliated with autism speaks.

I don't care about their philanthropy either way, but AXID isn't really a very good sorority. I don't think we really want them at TCU. There are other better fits.

For a lot of reasons Alpha Xi Delta is not the one we should bring on at TCU. You can see by the bickering that it caused on here.

For those trying to find controversy re. AXiD & their national philanthropy - they were rumored to be chosen at Tech a few years ago b/c supposedly the voters thought they would be a good fit for the campus b/c of their philanthropy & the fact that Tech has just built their (then) new Burkhart Center for Autism Education & Research. Apparently the chapter does next to nothing for either Autism Speaks or Burkhart, so I wouldn't say that's a reason to choose or not choose a sorority to colonize. Regardless, I don't think AXiD would be a great fit for TCU either way, but agree w/the poster above who said DZ would be good. Or just bring back one of the chapters that have closed (AGD, APhi, or KD).

The chapters that have closed should get first crack at it. I think the best fit is KD, and after that DZ.

KD Is good in the south only but usually lower mid to bottom nationwide. DZ sux most everywhere except for Texas state. AXD sux everywhere. APhi Is extremely strong on the West Coast, the NE and the Midwest. They are usually upper middle at their weakest unless there are new on campus. AGD is kinda middlin’ everywhere but still stronger than DZ or AXD.

What are you saying? KD is top 5 nationwide. Arguably top 3. AXID would be horrible here
