does a sorority know that you cut them?
by: CuriousIf one of the houses on my pref list is a house that I cut at the end of round 3, do they know that I cut them? I am very happy that they invited me back because I was so torn between this house and another. I want to give them every consideration tonight, but if they know that I cut them, will they no longer be interested in me?

First, PNM's don't "cut" houses. Each round you are just ranking the preference order of the houses you would like to return. When a house you ranked lower shows up on your schedule the next round, it's because one of the houses you ranked as a "1" released you.
Second, no, the house will not know how you ranked them. They won't know if you chose to return or if they got bumped up because another house released you.
Houses NEVER know your schedule or your rankings unless you voluntarily tell them (which I don't recommend).

@Me is correct. They will not know how you came to be at their pref. Do not mention it to ANYONE.

I can tell you from being in that room for several years that NO ONE knows how pnms ranked the chapters at Pref - or any other round for that matter.
