pre recruitment
by: cSo I have heard a lot about pre recruitment for certain sororities and have heard varied information. I have a few connections in one of the said sororities, but have also heard girls have already been reached out to. I know that is considered dirty rushing, but it obviously still happens. With that being said, if you have not been reached out to should you assume you wouldn't get a bid?

Dirty rushing is life in Texas. It's like cheating in the old SWC, if you ain't cheating you ain't trying.The best advice is if you know older girls in the chapters you want proactively reach out to them.
Ask them to gauge your chances for a bid honestly. Best case scenario is after a couple group texts you're in the house you want. Worst case you can focus on the houses still in play. Interpret a vague answer as a no and move forward accordingly.

I honestly followed all the rules. I purposely did not try to contact people because I was told this was wrong. I got my REC letters, had a strong resume, am in shape, dressed well and can hold a conversation. Yes, I do believe some houses cut me because I played by the rules but I got in a top tier house with class, love my sisters and realize I wanted sisters with character and the cheating houses were not where I'd want to be. Things work out. Dirty rushers attract certain hearts those with intergrity attract a different type. I would not change a thing about my actions. Be true to yourself and recruitment works out where you get like valued sisters.

I was not pre-recruited and got into a top house. I had no interest in XO or DDD because of their dishonest recruitment practices. XO is famous for even verbally promising a bid and still cutting you. Don't waste your time PNMS and focus on houses that are above board.

Think what you want. The way this rush game is played is all inside. If you think you got the goods to be outside that's on you.
Ask your dads to play a round of golf together if you're real jumpy. That should get you in with minimal hassle if you don't have the stones to do your own social work.
