If you are attractive your GPA doesn't really matter.

They say recruitment is 90% looks and 10% percent everything else. So your grades are part of that 10%. 2.9 if you are already at TCU is low. But if you came from a harder school, then it isn't that low.

Higher academic chapters do look at Gpa and more socially focused not so much

I agree with the message above. Theta, Chi Omega, Gamma Phi Beta and Alpha Chi Omega do take grades seriously so this may hurt your chances with these more academically minded chapters. If you are attractive, have a strong resume and recommendations then you will likely be able to successfully bid other chapters.
