2016 rushee cuts, except aopi

by: Bird1617

Anyone noticed what appears to be a concerted effort to cut girls from many sororities in favor of AOPi? I know several very desirable, attractive and smart girls that have been cut from all but AOPi. Just wondered if anyone else was noticing this.

TCU, like most colleges, uses a return management computer system that tries to make the system more equitable. Houses that have higher return percentages actually have to cut more girls per round than a house with a lower percentage. It is an algorithm I can't describe correctly but statistically it is shown to work the majority of the time.

Yep - called RFM. Maxes quota and placement. Bottom line is those girls weren't high enough on the lists to stay at the other sororitys. True AOPi would have the largest invite list..... people do fall through the cracks with us, though.

AOPI gets to invite almost everyone back because their return rates are so horrible and no one wants them. The good houses have to make huge cuts each round.

This is the truth. Things aren't rigged to help AOPI they just don't have to cut people while others do. Be positive about it though. If you pledge AOPI you can help this group get even stronger. They wanted your friendship and they have a strong sistethood.

When they are blanket inviting everyone, it's not a matter of wanting you. It's a matter of wanting to keep any warm body in the game. That's why so many PNMs suicide if AOPI is one of their choices or never show up to bid day if they end up unlucky enough to get them.

I guess not everything is lost though. With Phi Mu coming and being the new random member sorority, AOPI will end up being second to the last.

This system actually helps a new house to be very competitive very quickly. I think GPB is an example - they were able to move up relatively quickly. Really great girls end up in these "newer" houses and propel them to a higher level.
