why was skit day removed
by: SadI always found Skit Day the most fun and also a good way to gauge the personality of a soroiety. Why would this be removed from the recruitment process? The whole things is going to be less nice this year and it seems wrong. New girls you will be missing out on so much tradition and fun!

This was a national decision made by Panhellenic HQ to remove skits from all recruitments in all sororities on all campuses. The point of joining a sorority isn't the flashy nature of the skits, it's about meeting and getting to know the people you will spend 4 years with. Skits just became a way for chapters to out- glam each other and weren't actually filled with good content, especially because some of the scripts were borderline inappropriate. Y'all will just have to deal with actually talking to each other...what a concept

Now maybe we can actually get the ridiculous recruitment videos banned.

It's important to talk to girls of course but skit day allowed for a more light hearted feel which is needed.t-shirts, no speciality drinks, no skits, no decorations...Recruitment is supposed to let the PNMs see the personality of the houses. These changes will take a lot of fun tradition away. It's sad.
