dropped from all houses?
by: nervousHow likely is it that a girl gets cut from all the houses? I am extremely nervous about recruitment. I am not a legacy. However, I have a 4.0 and I was in athletics, held various leadership positions in clubs, volunteered weekly, and had a part time job. Do I have a good shot of getting into a sorority? Personally, I do not care about rank or tier. I just want to be a part of a sisterhood and get involved on campus.

Just keep the same open mind and be yourself and you should be fine.
There are very few PNMs completely cut each year. Usually those were for very good and obvious reasons.
Sometimes you will here people talk about being completely cut, but what happened is they didn't like the choices they had left so they quit. This is their choice and not getting completely cut.

If you list every house that invites you back and treat every house with respect you will receive a bid. Even if the final house isn't what you thought you wanted go to everything. You will have weeks to decide if it is the right house for you. It sounds like you are a strong candidate and will do great.

As posted before you will get a bid of you follow the rules. If you end up with a bid to a house you think you won't like, go anyway. You have weeks to go and give things a try before a decision to formally join has to be made and you may love it after you meet everyone.

Senior is right. Some girls will decide that they are only interested in certain houses. When they are cut by those houses they decide to quit, even though there may still be other groups on the invite list. This is not getting cut from recruitment. This is quitting. Huge difference, but that is not how you will hear them say it. This explains the stat that you hear that 1000 PNMs started recruitment but only 800 (or whatever) got a bid. There may have been less than 10 who were cut and alllllll the rest quit.
There is no harm in finishing recruitment. These girls that quit often really regret it, especially on Bid Day and during the first few months of school when so many around them are having fun and loving their sororities. All PNMs should finish recruitment, as you will likely find a house from the remaining list that you do love. You do not have to sign a bid card (meaning you would accept a bid from a group) after Pref round if you really don't won't to. However, quitting after 2nd or 3rd round gets you nothing.
