How does the whole process of cuts, invites back and final bids work?

So here's a question about preference day, if a PNM is only invited back to one house for preference, are they guaranteed a bid from that house? The have maximized their options and quota additions insure that every girl who submits a bid card will be placed.

If she attends all the parties she is invited to on preference day, she will get a bid from one of those houses. If she only attends one party, she will get a bid from that house.
