I suicided, and it worked out. I got my top choice. I was convinced that I would only be happy if I had a bid from my house.
However, after a couple years of being a part of Greek life, I'm comfortable saying that I would have been happy in any of three houses. I have friends in all of them, and I have respect for their sororities.
PNMs, please don't risk the heartbreak like I did. If I had been without a bid on Bid Day, I would have been so depressed. I wouldn't advise any one to make that choice. Be smarter than I was.

So I did suicide bid just because I felt that if I was meant to be in either of the two houses I had left (only one of which I somewhat wanted to be in) that it would all work out. I ended up not getting a bid and thankfully it was probably for the best. Yes it was depressing to see everyone celebrating on bid day, but in the end the money and time I would've spent on sorority stuff was better spent in other places. But this was my personal experience and if I had ended up with different houses in the end, it might be a totally different story.

WRONG! Suiciding DECREASES your odds of getting the house you want. If you suicide, you are not eligible for quota additions. If you're not high enough on that sorority's bid list, game over. Instant GDI. If you optimize your options by listing all the houses you preffed, if you you're not high enough on any of their lists then you will be added as a quota addition, generally to your #1 choice. You are such a jerk to be saying things that are 100% not true.

Why say that? It really isn't true. It ups your chances of getting the house you want.
