can you go greek with a hard major
by: New FrogI want to join a sorority but I am planning to attend medical school which means I must keep my GPA up. I don't want to miss out on the friendships and getting involved on campus but I don't want to be the odd girl staying in to study alone. Is it reasonable to do both? Are there chapters that would fit my goals better than others? Thank you for your advise. I am very proud to join the TCU family.

Trust me. You aren't going to med school rather you join a sorority or not. So, you might as well join one and have fun. The person above who said your best chance is oversees is actually correct. You will not get into a U.S. medical school. That's a fact. You can pretend that you are the exception, but you are not. If getting your MD is your major goal, then you need to go overseas for med school. They don't care that much about your GPA for the overseas schools. Just relax. Have a good time.

About medical school but I am a nursing major and I cannot think of a house that is not represented. Almost everyone is Greek and once you get to the upper level classes what house you are in matters way less as you bond with each other in clinicals etc. probably GPB and XO had the most nursing students but there are DG, PBP, KAT, KKG, SK... Every group in nursing and I do believe we are known for being a more difficult major here. Good luck no matter which house you receive a bid from. Take it!!!!
