Dear Legacy PNMs:
DONT mention your legacy status in another house even if it's in a positive way. For example don't even say something along the lines: "my mom was in XYZ sorority but I'm keeping an open mind." That seems innocent but a lot of girls take that the wrong way. I wouldn't even recommend talking about how your parents were Greek unless it's in your legacy house.
if you're not interested in your legacy house but are worried other chapters will cut you for it:
Just let the house you're at know you're very excited to be there and they won't hold your legacy status at another house against you.

If you get your REC letters in, houses already know your legacies. You shouldn't mention other houses in any way. Focus only on the girls you are having conversations with at the time whether you want that house or not. Recruitment is highly competitive and rudeness to any house can get your name struck all around.

This is wise advice but I'm not sure why anyone would do this. You should want each house to feel you have an interest in them if you want them to consider you. Anyway, just because you are a legacy doesn't mean there will be a bid from that house. Practically every chapter could fill an entire PC with legacies. Just be kind and thoughtful to everyone.

Girls who are extremely selfish, immature, and think the world will still revolve around them here do this every year and they get blown out of the water every year. I'm not sure I can have any pity on them if they are so stupid as to do this.

Just don't have the attitude that you having a legacy to a house or wanting a house will make that the end result. Be nice to all houses and you will be fine.
