legacy

by: Curious PNM

Do sororities at TCU take legacy very seriously? I have a sister who is a Gamma Phi at a different school and I just want to know if that is something that has any meaning in your rush process :)

It depends on the chapter how seriously a legacy helps. It's common knowledge Chi Omega and Tri Delta take it seriously BUT there are so many legacies here idk if it matters much.

If you are attractive and a legacy, they will want you. If you are not, they won't. It really all boils down to looks.

Sadly this is mostly true.

Each house has different rules for legacies. For most houses, being a legacy will get you a guaranteed invite back for Round 2. For some houses, if you attend your legacy's pref night, you will be automatically placed at the top of their bid list and guaranteed a bid. Some houses' nationals place a bigger priority on pledging legacies than others do. Your sister should be able to tell you what benefits being a legacy is for her house- I'm not a Gamma Phi so I don't know.

I think people get disappointed every year because they wrongly think that a legacy will gaurentee you a bid. It won't! Dont you want to be chosen for yourself anyway?
