In all honesty, no it's not the same traditional Greek expirence.
Pros to our "non traditional" Greek system:
—Everyone on campus is a lot closer with people in other houses
—Everyone at TCU shares the same dining hall so every time you go you always see people you know
—all parties are held off campus so you don't have to register them with the university.
—if your fraternity is on social pro bo, that really doesn't make that much of a difference since all parties and tailgates are off campus anyways.
—dues are CHEAPPPP
—all Greek houses are so close together it makes pre gaming with other chapters is easy
Cons:
—parties are off campus so Uber charges can get expensive
—parties are off campus so each week a different fraternity could have one at a different house and it's annoying to have to figure all that ish out.
—no cooks
—no house moms
—TCU has total control over your house so you can't do what you want with it in terms of renovations
—houses are not nearly as close as houses I've see at other big colleges.

You don't have the amazing mansions that some school have but having everyone together, within walking distance, let's all group get together easily. Private buses take us to off campus locations that are way better than staying in the same place anyway for events.

Will the new houses provide meals for the chapter members? How many will be able to live in?
