do legacies matter?

I'm a DG leg. Does this give me any advantages during rush?

As a legacy, there are no guarantees that you will receive a bid. However, if you are invited to prefs, you are at the top of the bid list.

Typically being a legacy gets you through round 1, then from there they can cut you. If you make it to pref, you have to be at the top of the bid list. That's their national policy (both my sisters are/were in DG at another school).
