curious for an update
by: hopefulAll of you who came on here debating about dropping.....what did you end up doing? REALLY hoping to hear you stuck it out and are starting to have more positive experiences!!!

Personally, I dropped. I couldn't see myself in the house and it was making me more depressed the longer I went on. I know people are gonna say that I should have waited longer but I realistically could not see myself being happy in the house. I'm hoping to do fall rush or rush again because I was looking forward to being in a sorority

did you take the bid and go to the house and stuff? I am also in the same position.. I am waiting it out a little longer but possibly dropping too can't do fall rush because i took the bid which really annoys me

I am still in the sorority i got a bid from. I have hung out with a few girls outside of chapter meetings and they're nice but i still don't know if I see myself forming life long friendships with the girls in my pledge class because they aren't really anything like me.

It's still really early to tell if you will make "lasting friendships" for sure. Just give it a little more time. Everyone feels super awkward at first and the whole "Getting to know you" period kinda sucks for everyone-it'll get better.
