rushing next year

So I haven't rushed yet but I was wondering if I rush next year and have friends in houses can they possibly help me get into one of the houses or no??

Your friend can help but you also have to make a good impression on the sisters who rush you. Your friend is only one vote of many in membership selection/hash sessions.
