grades

what if you have all a's and a-'s in your classes, but you did poorly in one class you really struggle with? Do they take individual grades into consideration or just GPA?

Cumulative GPA. Believe me, nobody has time to be scouring transcripts.

Houses do not care about individual grades, if you have a gpa lower than 2.8, most houses will cut you first round. They know that because you submitted it with your application. There are over a thousand girls rushing trying to take a spot of around 70 per house and each house is trying to find the best and most rounded girls. That means cutting based off of gpa, no exceptions.

So if you have over a 2.8 you're more likely than not good based on GPA solely?

Honestly, do not worry so much over your gpa. When rushing, you want to find your home on campus and you want a connection to the girls your talking to. Show your personality and make a good lasting impression because that is really what the girls are looking for.
