real talk
by: SororityDoes anyone else agree with me that top tier will take a girl whose "hot" with a bad gpa and barely any activities than a girl whose not as "hot" who has a good gpa and activities?

all houses have cut-offs for GPA. so if you fall below the line then you automatically will be cut from the house. When it comes to who people take, unless you blatantly tell the girl you are talking to your GPA, she's not gonna know and judge you off of that. So in the end, the people who get into the house are the girls that people in the house see as a good fit and click with. All houses obviously strive to have girls with high GPAs because otherwise the house wouldn't be able to exist since each house has a set of standards from nationals.

As someone in a top tier house I can say that we have a cutoff that's fairly high compared to others and if you're below that you are out automatically no matter what. Other than that we have no idea what your gpa is so it doesn't really matter as long as you are above the cutoff we won't know unless you go out and say this is my gpa while talking. But probably don't do that bc you'll sound like a weirdo

It's all about ambition. Even if you're smart, extra curricular activities are really important because they generally take you where you want to go if they are on the academic side. It's cool if you're passionate about other things too, like maybe if you're athletic or musical. Also netflix is awesome, but hobbies other than lying in bed are nice as well. But no, being "hot" does not mean anything, however, confidence does.

So my gpa is above the 2.5, but it's not super high, the reason is I have some learning disabilities. I am registered with ODS. If I explain this, would they still consider me even with my GPA being a point or two below their cut-off? (to the houses that have their own cut-off GPAs)
