Sorry for posting this here guys!

I joined Alpha Phi my freshmen year. it was my top choice throughout rush. I was a little nervous at first because I had heard the "bad sisterhood" rumors. But as soon as I joined I knew I had made the best decision of my life. Junior year my family ran into money trouble and could no longer afford to keep me in APHI. Obviously, I was devastated. I had friends who had deactivated from other houses and their former "sisters" and "best friends" completely shunned them once they were no longer apart of their chapter. I was scared this would happen to me as well, but instead each and every girl still treated me with great respect and helped support me through this tough time. Even though I was technically no longer a member of APHI, I still had sisters. I met my best friends and the greatest women I know in APHI.
This comment may seem biased, but what better person to tell you what a sorority’s sisterhood is like, than someone who has experienced it first hand.

Now that I am old and graduated :( i can honestly say that greek life at Syracuse is life changing. Every sorority on this campus is amazing and every sorority is unique. No matter what house you choice you will find your niche.

This is very nice. Thank you for letting us know about your story. Many women face that issue today in Greeklife. I pay for my dues myself. How long ago was this if you don't mind me asking?
