letters of rec

Hi! So ill be rushing second semester (I'm a freshman)....just wondering, would it be helpful at all to get recommendation letters of women that were in chapters here at syracuse? I know I can get one for AEPHI, Alpha Phi and Phi sig...would that help my chances of getting a bid? Also, recs from other women who were members but not at syracuse too...

lol it's not like down south. we don't really do letters of rec up here. i mean i've never ever heard of it happening in my house. or any others.

If you go to the information session later in the semester about rush they will tell you that letters of Rec are not necessary. Like the person above me said its not like the south. No one actually sends them but they tell you you're allowed to if you want. However, it does not affect your chances of getting into a house at all. The girls already have so much to do to prepare for rush they don't want to read a ton of letters too
