honesty?

Can someone please just be honest and tell me how hard it is to get into Kappa/DG/Tridelt? I just want to know what I'm getting into with rush.

I think what they mean is you can't be a suck up to them during rush- they can tell. Just be chill and yourself, don't put on an act to impress

The bottom line is it doesn't matter what you look like or who you know. I didn't know a SINGLE girl in ANY sorority on campus, never once was I so called "dirty rushed." Yet, I am in a "top" house. But the reason I chose it was because that is where I felt the most at home, and where I saw myself being genuinely the happiest and I could not have made a better choice. I hate the stereotype that top tier houses are superficial, because the sisterhood that I experience everyday in one of these houses is entirely genuine. You will end up where you belong, and I honestly believe if you are yourself you have as much a chance as getting into a top tier house as you have of getting into a bottom one.

Stop reinforcing the stereotype that pretty/wealthy girls are mean/superficial. I'm in a "top house" and I chose my house because I love every single girl in it. They show me love and understanding every day. When I look at them I don't see how pretty they are or how wealthy, I see my sisters who know me inside and out and still support me. So if you feel comfortable in a house and they feel comfortable around you, you will know that you have found a home here. It has nothing to do with looks or money. It's all about comfort, support, and love.

i don't understand how one can say you get picked based on how much money you have unless all rich people just emit this like rich vibe that automatically makes everyone know they are wealthy. like not once do you get asked how much money do you have during rush

its pretty obvious who is wealthy and who isnt based on the clothes and shoes they wear.. and just because they dont ask how rich you are doesnt mean you cant guess based on answers to questions like where are you from (long island?) or what you did over break (skiing in a private ski resort in the alps for a week?) etc
