rushing

I rushed as a freshman and i hated the experience. I dropped before third round because I only got asked back to my bottom two houses. But rushing as a sophomore i went in a lot more confident. I did very well during rush and ended up in my top house. But what I found to be the biggest difference from rushing as a freshman was that during that year break, I had done a lot of figuring out who I was. As a freshman I was like a blank slate looking for a house that wouldve ended up molding me, but as a sophomore i was more confident in who I was as a person and was looking for, and ended up in a house that I could just be myself in.

Unfortunately I didn't have as lucky as an experience as the last two people. My sophomore year when I rushed, so many houses cut me just because I was a sophomore and therefore I got cut several of my top houses. I didn't rush freshman year and I wish I did. A lot of people rush as a sophomore so don't feel discouraged. And don't get me wrong, I love the friends I have made in my house, but just know that they are going to be a lot harder on you (unless you have a lot of friends in that house). Just saying it like it is.
