Scum of the earth? TKE was already (and had been for a few years) on thin ice with both the university and their nationals. What should be called into question by this stream of comments is the absolute lack of understanding of the situation as well as the deep seeded gender inequality in the Greek system itself. No one should ever pressured to keep their mouth shut for being mistreated or for being a victim, no matter how extreme or unextreme the situation. Axid should be applauded by other sororities for supporting one of their sisters, for putting the well being of one of their members above frat relations. With everything this past year in the media about Greek life, maybe people should start to think about changing their behaviors towards one another rather than shamming a group for saying no to assault. TKE, and everyone else who has commented so passionately on the situation, should be more upset at the idiotic graduate who acted inappropriately and got them kicked off campus rather than the people who stood up for themselves.
