Tri Delt or DG Informal Fall Recruitment?

Do Tri Delt or DG do informal fall recruitment for sophomores? Or do I have to wait until formal rush next spring?

nothing is ever a given in the fall
if you are banking on a for sure then go do your banking elsewhere
last fall it was AGD, DPHIE and SDT
it depends on numbers, needs, nationals, grad rates, etc
go enjoy spring semester

Usually only a handful of chapters do COB but many different sororities have done it over the last couple years (from my recollection of the recent past, AXO, GPhiB, TriDelt, SDT are examples). DPhiE and AGD almost always do it. It generally isn’t a reflection of rank and often moreso depends on requirements from their nationals.

In four years, I’ve never seen DG do COB, Tridelt and Alpha Phi only once. Never Kappa. Phi Sig, Gphi, SDT more regularly.

Does anyone know how many spots top tier sororities tend to have when they do cob? is it only like 3 or can it be like 10+?

It depends on how many spots they have to fill. Changes every time for every chapter. Some nationals are really strict that you have to do everything to fill quota, others are more flexible. Rarely is it a significant number of girls.

likely contingent on the number of girls graduating in may. from there, a chapter and its nationals will determine what number they would like the house to be at in the fall. if you are looking for a hard, cut and dry answer today then you need to accept the fact that that is just not something you are going to get.

it's now legit spring. have yourself an amazing rest of the semester because it has so much potential! no need to jump ahead to what may be in the fall. get to know sisters in houses you vibe with and take it from there if there is cob great, if not you are setting yourself up for a potential bid in the spring.

Competitive srats are not going to take a lot of girls in COB. They know exactly who they want and that’s how they go after. And they only take the girls they want rather than a specific number.

If you know girls in the srats, and you are close to them another sisters, then it’s possible you could get a COB bid. Honestly, I think it’s less likely to get a bid this way than in formal recruitment.
