rushing a srat as a sophmore?

I didn't rush this semester due to personal/academic reasons but I've heard lots of houses, especially the top (Aphi, TriDelt) won't take you if you rush sophmore/junior year and its seen as a huge disadvantage with other houses. I've wanted to do greek life for a long time the timing just didn't work out for now but I really do wanna rush next year, am I screwed?

make friends with freshman in houses you'd want to be in next year, that helps. focus on where you feel you fit and the rest will fall into place.
