what i wish i knew as a PNM

by:

it’s okay if you aren’t in the same house as all of your freshmen friends. you’ll meet your best friends in your new house and still remain best friends with your other friends. you’ll become best friends with your friends friends and their friends and their friends.
once the clock hits midnight, it does not matter what house you are in as you are free to go to any frat you want to.
you find your people in your house and if you don’t, then at least you can say you have it a chance.
give every house a fair chance when going into the first round and be excited to meet all of the awesome girls.
stay off this site. the posts are written from people in greek life trying to bring other houses down.
when you’re in, you may feel overwhelmed but that’s okay. you and every new girl are going through the same feeling of not knowing anyone yet.
going off that, give everyone a chance but there’s 250 other girls in the house and you don’t need to like or even be friends with every single one of them.

and have fun! i went in after reading greekrank religiously and thought i knew exactly what house i wanted. i ended up falling in love with that house but also another one, and when it came down to it i choose the other one. it’s okay to be conflicted but it’s all gonna work out!

I’m so happy someone wrote this. It really doesn’t matter much at all! You will find your way. No one wants to be friends with someone who has an elitist idea of college and friendships anyway. Everything will be fine
