Life In A “Bottom” SRAT…..
by: Sister
Was GREAT.
I’ve now graduated from Cuse and am reflecting on my time as a member of Greek life. Please know every rank you see here is fake. As a member of a chapter that would likely be considered near “bottom”, I can tell you that everything you read here about “lower” tier chapters is not true.
I went to formals, parties, and everything else every other chapter does. I made great friends in my sorority and most every other sorority. I was invited to events at what could be described as “upper tier” fraternities. The BS you read on this site about “tiers” and who parties with who is so far from reality. Even though we may not have had a tight relationship or special events with “top” tier fraternities, they treated us kindly at all Greek events. We had plenty of mixers and social events with other fraternities and organizations. I assure you my experience in a “low tier” was not too much different than anyone else’s experiences in Greek life.
I wish someone would have told me this 4 years ago!

This is it. At the end of the day, we're way more alike than different. Ignore this site. Ignore chatter of those in your rush group. Ignore what anyone else says....lead with kindness in every interaction you have at every house....and follow your gut and your heart. I also am in a 'lower house' and guess what? I actually ranked it above the 'top tier' on pref night. I couldn't be happier.

Reality! I remember being influenced by the negativity of this site. To a point where I was very sad about my bid day result - got my second choice “low tier” house. I was so sad..I stuck with it and quickly realized I am exactly where I belong - I love my sisters and my chapter!
