NPC has to vote on extension. AXO just cannot come back if extension is not open at that time. Read the NPC rules on expansion.

The exact date of return to the campus has not been determined and will be a mutually agreed upon date by Alpha Chi Omega and the Syracuse University College Panhellenic Council based on a variety of factors."
Not necessarily coming back Fall 2016. It's just been voted on that they will come back eventually.

The AXO alums own the house. DPhiE has a lease until 2016. The University and PanHel have agreed to let them return, since there was no problem with them. AXO’s national pulled their charter. Now AXO National needs to agree to return. But, time heals all wounds, and their national would be crazy not to have representation at SU.

lol at the above....axo is already stacked to come back and i know for a 100% fact that dphie is NOT buying the house....they will be forced out and have to find/build their own place to live when axo is back

AXO is in stacked to return. The alums do own the house and are renting it to DPhiE. The PanHel system at SU needs expansion desperately as evidenced by the pledge class size the last few years. The University does not want to go through the extension process. It is easier to have a “closed" expansion with a known party than to go through the application process of various nationals applying. It’s a tedious process, and much easier for the university/PanHel to extend the invitation to the outgoing chapter. AXO was extended that invitation before they left campus. The 2016 return date is to allow DPhiE the time to get off the ground and grow, and to let the dust settle from AXO’s abrupt departure. (e.g..letting the freshman from AXO graduate and move on) Now, whether their national will agree, that is another story.
